Oishi Boy

It was the establishment's name that caught my attention first. I asked my boyfriend why is it called "Oishi Boy". He just shrugged. I know that "Oishi" is a Japanese for "delicious" and it is quite funny to think of it as "Delicious Boy".

(Sorry for our derp face. Haha)

I am a very picky eater and whenever we try to eat in new restaurants I always order beef, pork, or chicken to be safe. In this case it was Japanese and my very first encounter eating Japanese food wasn't really satisfying. I ordered bento out of curiosity back then and it wasn't really up to my taste. This time my boyfriend recommended something really oishi!

He first chose Pork Katsudon which is weird looking but really savory! The pork (I dont know what part of pork it was) was really tender. In their plating, the pork slices was at the center and   was surrounded with scrambled eggs. It has a sauce and I really don't know what was the ingredients  but I am pretty sure the the main ingredient was soy sauce the rest is still a mystery to me. The sauce was a combination of salty and sweet. There were other taste too which I can't explain. But this dish is very recommended! For me, anyone can it eat. Even I, a picky eater, loves it.

His second choice was Chicken Kaarage. He chose this because he saw this dish on the anime series he's been watching. Anyways, Karaage looks like Chicharon in the picture but it just really looks like a typical fried chicken in personal. What amazes me the most in this dish was it was half or medium cooked! But I never saw even an ounce of blood. It was really chewy and the taste was not like any other typical fried chicken taste.

And of course, aftermath. Hahaha

I won't be rating establishments but I really give Oishi Boy a two thumbs up.

It's not just really delicious which gives justice to their establishment name "Oishi" but it is also very affordable.

I highly recommend this establishment.

They are open during 11:00 - 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm onwards. Sorry I forgot their closing time.
